The MP range from Mermaid Marine is based on the popular Yang Dong range

of diesel engines. These reliable and well built engines are amongst the most

numerous produced engines in the world and are fitted in just about every type

of machinery you can imagine.

The mix of simple design and ultra modern production facilities in China

deliver a range of engines that will serve their owners well for many years of

smooth operation.

Mermaid Marine prepare these engines for marine use with the expertise they

have gathered in over forty years at the top of the UK marine engine market.

There are two series available with the Blue line optimised for coastal and

seagoing use while the Maroon line are optimised for inland waterway use.

CRYCO Ltd are proud to be able to offer the Mermaid Marine J-444 engine based on the

JCB 444 Dieselmax engine.

JCB developed the 444 Dieselmax engine from a blank piece of paper and from its very

conception it was designed and built to operate in the harshest and most unforgiving

environments on Earth.

Its common rail fuel injection and carefully matched turbocharger system deliver maximum

power in such an efficient way that the engine meets all requirements for the EPA Tier 3 and

EU Stage 3A emissions regulations. It is also amongst the quietest diesel engines on the

market today.

In 2006 JCB wrote the 444 Dieselmax engine into the history books when they fitted two of

them into the Dieselmax streamlined car and took them to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah,

USA and promptly won the world land speed record for a diesel powered vehicle.

Mermaid take these engines and, using their world renowned marine experience, modify

them for marine use, in doing so they have brought one of the most outstanding marine diesel

engines on to the world stage.

AGCO Power (Formerly known as AGCO Sisu) are part of the AGCO group of

companies who are at the forefront of agricultural engineering. Built at a

modern factory in Finland, AGCO Power engines are the power

behind AGCO brands such as Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Valtra tractors.

The agricultural engine base provides an excellent and robust platform to

develop for marine use and this work is carried out in Finland by the

manufacturer.

FNM Marine diesel engines are built in Italy and are based on the Alfa Romeo

high performance diesel car engines and are perfectly suited to high

performance leisure marine applications. It is especially suited to those

customers who currently run petrol engines but who would like the efficiency of

a diesel unit but without the weight compromise that comes with marine diesels

based on industrial engines. High power and High revving these engines can be

fitted to either outdrive legs or conventional transmissions.
