LITERATURE FOR ALL OF US ______________________________________________________________ PROJECT BRIEF NAME OF PROJECT: Mardi Gras Magic. Fundraising event for Literature for All of Us DATE: February 7, 2014 (Event Launch Date) OVERVIEW Mardi Gras Magic is a fundraising effort, created by the nonprofit organization, Literature of All of Us. The proceeds from this event, as well as its afterparty, the Late Night Revelers Ball, benefit the important work of Literature for All of Us. The organization serves young people ages 1221 who are impacted by poverty, violence, and early parenthood. It offers professionallyled weekly book group programs in collaboration with alternative high schools, GED programs, and community organizations. Everyone from alumni, staff, and new participants will play a major role in achieving our goal to raise sufficient money to continue supporting this organization and those who benefit from it. We aim to achieve our goal effectively and reach our community through these social channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
