Star of the North Book Award 2015-2016 Nominees The Star of the North Picture Book Award was established in 2013 under the auspices of the Minnesota Youth Reading Awards. The purpose of the award is to promote quality, engaging picture books and reading for pleasure among school-aged children. Marcy Students will be voting on their favorite nominated books in the fall., so summer is a great time to get started reading some of these great books!
