because you would get electrocuted when you plug it in
Rubber-like synthetic polymer insulation is used in industrial cables and power cables installed
underground because of its superior moisture resistance.
nsulated cables are rated by their allowable operating voltage and their maximumoperating
temperature at the conductor surface
PVC or lead jacket for protection from moisture and physical damage
The fog on the bathroom mirror is caused by condensation. Condensation is the term we use to describethe process which occurs when moisture in the air is extracted. Condensation happens when thetemperature of air containing moisture decreases. Falling air temperatures cause condensation becausewarm air can hold more moisture than cold air. This is the exact same process that takes place when ahot air mass encounters a cold air mass and we experience a rainstorm.
When warm air in the bathroom is heated by the shower to temperatures as much as 100 degrees F, theair becomes saturated with moisture. When this saturated hot air comes in contact with the bathroommirror, which may be as much as 30 degrees F less than the air temperature, the moisture begins tocome out of the air and be deposited on the mirror surface. The clouds of steam in your bathroom arebasically raining on your mirror.
By raising the surface temperature of the mirror to be the same as or greater than the temperature of theair in the bathroom, condensation is prevented.
Fog is created when hot airvapors from a steamy shower mix with the cool surface temperature of a
bathroom mirror, resulting in condensation.
Circulating air helps minimize the build-up of steamy heat in the bathroom, lessening the temperature
differential between the room and the surface of the mirror. Running a fan or opening a window while in
the shower can also aid in air circulation helping to defog a bathroom mirror. If the bathroom is small or
not well-ventilated, getting enough air to circulate might be a problem
f you use a light above the mirror and leave it on while taking shower this will significantly reduce the
fogging since the warmth from the light will condense the steam.
Air has moisture in it. The food picks up that moisture and becomes soft. By placing the food in an air-tight tin, you have limited the amount of moisture that is available to soften the food, so it stays
crisper longer.
Why does a hard biscuit becomesoft when left out in openair but soft bread becomes hard whenleft out in the
open air?
Biscuit contains high content of Starch, bread do not, Starch is humidity sensitive and attract
humidity from air. Biscuit made with starch to be able to absorb liquids in it, bread do not. Hope

Why doesn't icewrapped in newspapermelteasily?
It is because being wrapped in paper would cause the cold air coming off the ice to be trapped, thus slowing down the melting process.
