Dear Teachers, Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney will offer an opportunity to Stage 6 (Year 12) Italian Beginners and Continuers students to attend a 2-day workshop during the April school holiday period. Year 11 students are also welcome to participate, however the focus will be on the HSC syllabus and examination.

Monday 15 April and Tuesday 16 April 2019

Time

9.00am-1.30pm

Venue Hilda M Davis Senior Citizens Centre 185 Bigge Street, Liverpool NSW 2170 (3 minute walk from Liverpool Train Station)

Cost

$90 per student

The cost includes GST, morning tea, course materials and tuition.

This workshop targets both language skills and exam techniques in the four skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing). Students will be working with NSW accredited teachers of Italian (native speakers) in a stimulating environment.

The program is designed to for students who may require additional support through to those who have strong skills in Italian. A variety of activities related closely to the HSC syllabus will be completed over the 2-day workshop.

Teachers may attend (no fees apply) only with participating students from their school.

To ensure a place for your students, please send page 5 of the application with all students who are interested in the workshop, please:

• fill in the workshop registration form with students’ details. It is important for students to provide a contact number and a legible email address in case we need to contact them in the holidays.

• email the completed registration forms to: learning@cnansw.org.au.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation notice must be received by Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney by email no later than 3pm on Thursday 11 April 2019.

Students who do not attend and do not give notice by 3pm on Thursday 11 April 2019 will be charged a $45 cancellation fee to cover venue hiring fees and materials.

In the case of unexpected events on the day, Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney must be contacted as soon as possible.

Payment process • You can register your students immediately but please make sure students have

paid for the workshop by 3pm on Thursday 11 April 2019. Option 1: • Preferred payment is via bank transfer to the school’s bank account:
