We have had a wonderful start to this 2014-2015 school year, with already some great memories captured.
I would like to thank all of our parents for entrusting your children in our care. It is our highest priority to provide your child with the highest quality of education, love, and respect.
We are always open to any suggestions you may have to help benefit our program, so please feel free to let me know of anything that might come to mind as I strive to have open communication with all of you.
I would like to thank you all again for your continuous support and providing me the opportunity to be a part of your childs growth and development. Sincerely, Ms. Neeraja - Site Director
Children are the human being to whom respect is
due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.

CLASSROOM 1
The children of room 1 explored all of the themes this month by participating in fun activities as well as arts &
crafts projects. Some of these activities included Valentines Day bracelets for Valentines Day, Chinese art
work in honor of The Chinese New Year, and during our discussion on seeds for botany our class planted the
coriander seeds in the soil which we hope will grow into delicious cilantro.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Please be sure you are bringing your child to school on time. If you are bringing your child late,
she/he may be missing very important lessons which are taught during our circle time.

CLASSROOM 2
We would like to thank all of the parents for bringing treats and Valentines Day cards for the children of
Classroom 2 during our Valentines Day Celebration.
We had so much fun this month learning about the continent of Asia through arts & crafts and painting
starfish during our exploration of invertebrates for Zoology. We hope our parents enjoyed the special
Valentines Day cards the children made with so much love for mommy and daddy to have for years to come.

CLASSROOM 3
Following the theme for the month on valentine and Friendship, we created our very own Friendship & Kindness jar.
The children had so much fun placing a pebble in the jar every time they helped a friend or were being kind and
considerate.
We hope our parents loved the handprint T-Shirts as much as we loved making them for Valentines Day. There is
nothing better than a child getting to stick their hands in paint and making a special and unique craft for our
families to cherish for years to come.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Please replenish any extra clothing
No Pillows for childrens nap time
Keep childrens nails short for personal hygiene and safety

enjoyed using these while we danced to Chinese music. A BIG thank you to Ms. Lu for her beautiful presentation in
honor of the Chinese New Year, showing the students how children in China celebrate the event.

Spring & graduation Portraits
Mark your calendar!! Picture day is coming on March.27th. Lifetouch
Preschool Portraits delivers studio quality, professional portraits taken in a
setting that makes each child feel comfortable and safe. While fall pictures are
used in yearbook or student IDs, Spring portraits offer more opportunities for
variety and personalization. Students have more freedom during this picture
session to create a look that is truly their own.
Our 2014-2015 graduating Kindergarten class will have an opportunity to pose
in cap and gown for the first time! This is a very exciting and joyous time for
them, creating the best pictures possible to enjoy for a lifetime.
If your child is not scheduled to attend school that day, your child is welcome
to join us; however, the child must be accompanied by the parents during the
duration of the sitting. We request parents please be ON-TIME as there will be
NO makeup days available.
Parents have the option to purchase the photographs, but it is not mandatory.
To customize your child's portrait sitting, children have been given a photo
preference sheet. Please complete and return this form to the front desk any-
time prior to picture day.

Sensory bins are a great way for children to learn using all 5
senses at once. By observing a young toddler exploring their
environment you will see this in action. They look at, touch,
smell, and taste just about anything they come in contact with-
this is how they learn. When their senses are stimulated,
messages are sent to their brain which builds neural pathways
that are needed for future learning. Through sensory play and
sensory bins children are using the scientific method and are
also building pre-math skills, fine motor skills, language skills,
imaginative play, and much more. Not only that but sensory
bins are so visually appealing and fun!
Gather up some St. Patricks Day props such as green colored
dried rice, Green beads, Gold coins, Green pipe cleaners, Etc.
Place these items in a bin of your choosing and allow your
child to explore them. Ask your child questions to get their
minds thinking. This is a great at home activity that can be
done with many other themes using different materials.
