It’s a Kenya Raffle! Community Day, May 7th from 12-5pm is featuring a raffle! Proceeds will go toward the Kenya Mission Trip in July, so we are calling it a “Kenya Raffle!” Lots of fun, the chance to win fabulous items, and the opportunity to support an incredible mission trip! In our blessed world we don’t even have to think about the availability of clean water, we take for granted that it will always be there! Bringing clean water to the people of Kenya is life changing! You can be absolutely sure your contributions will have a major impact on someone’s life!
Here’s how it works: All items in the raffle are displayed on tables with a bag in front of each item. Raffle tickets are purchased, name & telephone is written on the back, and tickets are placed in the bags of your choice! What do you want to win? The more tickets you place in a bag the better your chances of winning that item! At the close of the raffle, a ticket is drawn from each bag. If your name is drawn, YOU WIN that item! You do not have to be present to win, but it certainly is fun if you are!
Where do we get the items for the raffle?
You can purchase, make or solicit your friends and business associates for donations. Popular items are tickets to sporting or theater events, restaurant gift cards, theme baskets, jewelry, gardening and automotive supplies, donated services, or golf passes. Your small group or church activity group can combine your resources to create a unique offering.
What if I have an item that would be great in a basket, but I don’t have enough stuff to make up a whole basket. Can I donate that item?
Yes please! Everything is helpful! We will be collecting new items, unique items, gift cards or any individual donations and our committee will assemble them into baskets. Look for the donation box each Sunday in Agan Hall. We would also appreciate donations of any nice baskets, too.
Last day to bring in your items: Sunday, April 30!
Want to help pull it all together? Contact Dale & Debbie Plummer at 610-566-1329, [email protected].
