MALAWI SISTER PARISH SUCCESS STORY Greetings from Malawi, especially from your brothers and sisters at St. Joseph Parish. I am pleased to inform
you that since the commencement of the feeding program at St. Joseph Primary School has so far witnessed
the following progress:
1. Great Reduction in absenteeism. More and more learners are attending classes on daily basis unlike before
the program.
2. More drop-outs are coming back to school after dropping out due to hunger.
3. There is an improvement in the retention of learners in classes knocking off hours unlike before the com-
mencement of this program especially learners from infant and junior sections. More learners used to de-
sert classes due to hunger. There is also an increase in school enrollment these two months due to the
implementation of the program.
The program has been welcomed and fully supported by the community. This is evidenced by large numbers
coming daily to prepare the porridge and also their constant support of firewood for the program. It is our sin-
cere hope that the feeding program will improve learners performance hence reduce repetition rate in classes
due to improvement in class attendance and active participation of learners in various activities at school.

ies in Jesus' life.

What did Moses do for
the people of God?
Lives Matter! When our country of America was very new (1776) people were searching for a way to decide which values should be most important for our country. A young man named Thomas Jefferson had read an idea he included in the Declaration of Independence. He said that Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness were our most important values. Cardinal Bernardin of the Catholic Church (1928-1996) taught that each person has the right to life, the right to be free to worship and make decisions, and the right to be happy as members of Christ’s body. That means we don’t disrespect anyone. He taught that killing in all its forms takes away the right to life.

We never know when God is going to visit. It was very hot one day when Abraham was sitting under a terebinth tree at midday. Suddenly three men appeared. Abraham in-vited them to eat with his family. They promised that his wife Sarah was going to have a baby. (Gen. 18: 1-10)

Word must of gotten out that the Knights were buy-

you so much for all your support.

4TH SUNDAY OF LENT The blind man was willing to let Jesus minister to him and willingly did all Jesus
asked of him. The Pharisees were more resistant to His message, spending
their time and energy to disprove the miracle. Which am I more like, the man
born blind or the Pharisees?
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES This week, we are taking up The Catholic Relief Services Collection to respond
to Jesus in disguise. This collection helps six Catholic agencies to provide re-

onciliation among our marginalized brothers and sisters here and around the
world. Please prayerfully consider how you can support the collection. Learn
