THANK YOU BARRACUDAS!

The Carnival and Auction Committees would like to sincerely thank the

Thornebrooke Community for a fantastic Spring Fundraiser!

With your support, we raised over $36,000 to support our students and

donors, and wonderful volunteers that made the Carnival and Silent

Auction possible.

In addition, a big thanks to all the Thornebrooke Faculty and Staff who

The Thornebrooke Barracuda 100 Mile Challenge began on Monday, August 26, 2019and will end on May 22, 2020. The goal is for each individual student to reach 100 miles by the end of the schoolyear. Students add miles during their scheduled “Healthy Heart PE Day”. Studentswill earn a sneaker charm for every 5 miles and a “100” charm once they havecompleted the 100 miles. All students in grades K-5 are encouraged to log miles outside of school to add totheir in school miles. Miles can only be added from outside of school time if it iswalking or running. Outside sports practice does not count and bike riding is alsonot included. The point of logging extra miles is to have students strive to becomeeven more active or add activity where there may not be any. For example, taking thedog for a walk, walking around one of the area theme parks, walking or jogging whilea sibling has their baseball or soccer practice. Outside of school miles can be sentin by note or email and I will add it to their total mileage. Remember, we have allschool year to reach 100 miles and each child can and will be able to attain this goal. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
