~~~
Volunteers are welcome:
We are need of Cooks, Servers,
Dishwasher, Visitors and Cleaners.
~~~
Blessings on all of you at
All Saints who make this
ministry a reality.
FRIENDSHIP Meal It's egg time again!
The youth group
will be hiding eggs on Easter Sunday
for the annual hunt. We still have tons of
regular sized plastic eggs although could use
a dozen or two of the oversized ones for the larger
items. As always, we need candy, stickers,
small trinkets, etc. to stuff in the eggs or, if
you would prefer that we shop for you,
monetary donations are also welcome.
Please bring 'stuffing' donations to the
church office or give them to Kirstin.
The children of the church thank you!
Ah March! My 1st month serving as your Senior Warden
has been informative, challenging and very rewarding. I
have learned so many things and had the opportunity to
interact with many ministries at All Saints. How rewarding
and educating it has been. It cannot be said enough how
much talent and volunteerism we are blessed to have at All
Saints. As Tammy steps down from her position as office
manager this month I would like all of us to thank the
incredible volunteers who have offered to continue in their
roles overseeing the office until a new person is hired.
Each of these volunteers is also volunteering in other
ministries as is the case for most of you. As I said last
month – God has moved each of us to step in and volunteer
ideas, talents and physical labor in many ways throughout
the church buildings, each of the ministries and in every
Sunday service. How truly wonderful to see, hear and feel
God’s work through each of us.
The vestry and search team are in the middle of the
challenging discernment process for a new priest. This is
work that is both exciting daunting and somewhat tiring.
Again, almost everyone involved in the discernment
process is also volunteering for other All Saints ministries.
Slow down and give thanks for everyone’s talents, patience
and willingness to ever mindful of the All Saints mission
and our process to team with a wonderful priest uniquely
discerned for the All Saints mission and community.
Please feel free to call me with any ideas OR concerns. [email protected] (208) 866-8182

Bishop’s VISIT
Why We Love All Saints…
Share Your Story!
I am a cradle Episcopalian. That statement, however,
does not account for why I am at All Saints. Before I
moved to Boise in the 1990s, my family and I lived in McCall.
I was a regular congregant at both Our Lady of the Lake Catholic
Church and St. Andrews Episcopal Church where I served as the Junior Warden for 9 years.
About that, let me just say that people here in Boise will not really understand snow until you
have lived through a dozen years of dealing with snow accumulations in excess of 10 feet.
Well, back to why I am at All Saints. When the time came to move to Boise, I already knew
which church I would be attending, All Saints. Through diocesan events, I worked and
interacted with both Father Big Gallagher and his successor, Father Hugh Duncan, and other
members of the congregation. I knew of the congregation’s commitment to those in the Bench
community and its outreach to Africa, Central America, and beyond. I have always felt that my
faith was best expressed in service to others and that was, is, and remains part of the fabric of
All Saints. This commitment to serving others is why I remain at All Saints.
As a member of this community, I have been challenged to grow, personally. I have watched
and learned as this church welcomed and accepted those who are often deemed “less than” in
our nation. I have been there as members of this church lovingly confronted bigots; refusing to
accept their hate-filled brand of Christianity. This congregation provides me with the support I
need to grow into the kind of person I want to be as a follower of Jesus.

The next book study will be
a book by Reza Aslan - “No
god but God: The Origins,
Evolution and Future of
Islam”. The first meeting is
at Linda Stark’s home on
Tuesday, March 12 at
5:15PM. The study will be 6
sessions over 8 weeks. (We
are taking a break after every
2 weeks). Do join us for this
looks to be a very interesting
book. For any questions,
please contact Linda Stark at
208-573-2336.
Books to List on Our Website
We’re looking for books to list in the “Learn”
section on our website where there’s space for
recommended readings. These should help
visitors to get an idea of what All Saints people
like to study and discuss together related to our
faith. Please think and pray about what book
you think might inspire them and e-mail it to
[email protected]. The Education
Committee will select about ten books for the
first list and provide brief annotation.
From the Kids’
Village at All Saints
There’s a program available from Forward Movement, our Episcopal online ministry of prayer, that offers
three paths of study for Lent: “Pray: Pilgrimage & Praise,” “Go: Works of Mercy,” & “Worship: Walk in
Love.” Go to www.Forwardmovement.org and click on “Lent” to take their quiz and see which path may
be best for you. Each path has recommended short and well-priced books for deeper study. Order yours
soon! If enough people join in this program, the Education Committee will sponsor a soup supper where
adults can discuss their experience while their kids are entertained upstairs.
