IIMB Alumni – March 2017

Message from Chairperson, Alumni relations: Dear alumnus, I am excited to announce the launch of our monthly alumni e-Newsletter. As all of

you are aware, two editions of the bi-annual alumni magazine was published as a flipbook, accompanied by coffee table limited print copy editions. Based on the feedback from alumni, we decided to do away with bi-annual editions and instead, focus on having monthly e-Newsletters that carried latest articles and information on alumni. The e-Newsletter has many interesting sections that focus on events on campus, conferences and seminars, alumni achievements, faculty developments, reunions and a section that we wish was not there – obituaries. We have a young content developer who joined the alumni office recently – Ms. Sabari Sanyal who completed her Masters in Marketing Management and Communication - Toulouse Business School, Paris, France in 2016. She is the editor and content developer of the e-Newsletter. If you have interesting developments at your personal or professional end – drop an email to [email protected]. And yes, do not be surprised if she connects to you for some interesting insights or narratives! Have a wonderful day!

Our new alumni head and his message : S. Parthasarathy joined as the Head-Alumni Relations on 24th Oct 2016. He belongs to the PGP 92-94 batch. He joined ITC Classic Finance in the Merchant Banking soon after his PGDM from IIMB. After a tenure of two years in ITC Classic, he was an entrepreneur for over two decades. He has developed multiple software products, run a successful manpower recruitment agency, is a co-founder of a parent-child centric business and has written a book on entrepreneurship. He is also a keen student of amateur astronomy. Message : “It is a pleasure to be back at the institute to head this important role. My primary focus would be on exploring different ways to deepen engagement with alumni and add mutual value. I would also urge alumni to plug into www.iimbaa.org and update their profiles. We have initiated many solutions that will deepen our connection using technology. You will begin to see its impact in the next few months. I am looking forward to the support and cooperation from IIMB alumni to build a community that is empathetic, compassionate, grateful, having an impact on society that will make one thankful for being part of this community.”
