Thank you to our sponsors and volunteers who joined us to put on our MATHCOUNTS competition last month. We had a great time at Florida Southwestern State College and over 150 middle school students participated in the event. Congratulations to Three Oaks Elementary, who placed first in the team competition. They will be representing our chapter, along with Community School of Naples, at the state competition in Orlando this month. A big thanks to Sally Goldman for organizing the event for the 3 rd year in a row. We are looking for someone to assume the role of MATHCOUNTS chair next year so let us know if you are interested. It is a very rewarding position. We have put together something different for this month’s meeting. Michael Corso with Henderson Franklin will be presenting on drones and the laws that affect them. We hope you will join us as it should be interesting. More details can be found in this newsletter. It is also time to start thinking about our chapter awards. We are sending out information with the specific awards where you can nominate your fellow FES members. This is a great opportunity to spotlight the members who excel as an engineer as well as a member of the community. Please make sure to send in your nominations.
