Book Fair Thank you to all who supported our annual book fair and to Jennifer Whaley and her team of helpers. We sold just over $4000 and our school was able to earn 207 books plus supplies for the library! Facebook Group We started a closed Facebook group for current families and staff of St. Gabriel. Winnebago County Land Conservation Contest Congratulation to St. Gabriel's Winston Ogden! His poster entry just won second place at state for his age category. The contest’s theme this year was “Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper” and is part of the Wisconsin Land & Water organization created to promote environmental awareness in youth. Way to go Winston! Weekly Prayers for Families As part of our daily morning announcements, we include prayers for the families of our school community. Last week we prayed for the Saylor, and Scanlan families. Camp Invention Camp Invention is a weeklong STEM camp that runs June 10-14 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Middle School. This high-energy, hands on camp is packed with fun activities inspired by the National Inventors Hall of Fame inductees. Spring discount promo code INNOVATE25 expires March 22. Fuel Up to Play 60 – FUP60 Our student ambassadors along with the help of parent volunteers served up samples of 3 ice cream flavors for the students; cookie dough, chocolate, and twist. Students had the task of tasting and then deciding which was the favorite. After all the votes were counted, it was determined that twist is the favorite flavor at St. Gabriel Elementary. Student of the Year Campaign – Leukemia & Lymphoma Tip Hogerty, a sophomore at our high school, SMCHS, has been selected as a candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Student of the Year" Campaign. For seven weeks from March 22 to May 16, 2019. Tip will be competing against students from Neenah High School, Appleton North High School, and Fox Valley Lutheran to raise awareness and money for LLS. Why is Tip taking on this challenge?

St. Gabriel Parish Lenten Raffle St. Gabriel parish is holding a Lenten Raffle with the drawing to be held during the last Fish Fry on Friday, April 12. Cash prizes are: Grand Prize- $1500, 2nd prize- $500, 3rd prize- 5 x $100, 4th prize-5 x $50. Tickets are available for pick up in the back of church and are being sent home with your child today. We hope that school families will be able to buy and/or sell these tickets. This is an annual fundraiser and the proceeds are used to help offset operating costs of the parish which include school building maintenance and school subsidy. We need help selling tickets during fish fries and after weekend Masses. Please click here to volunteer.
