All Children Children with Disabilities

Children without Disabilities

Since 2001, MMSR Kindergarten assessment results indicate the existence of an achievement gap between preschool children with disabilities

who are “fully ready” for school as compared to their same-aged typically developing peers.

While children receiving

special education services demonstrate progress over time, the current school readiness gap between children with and without disabilities is 27 percentage points.
