On behalf of Spruce Grove City Council and our residents, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League (AMMFHL) Playoff Tournament.

We’re excited to host this championship tournament, and proud to offer great ice facilities for the games at our Grant Fuhr and Stu Barnes arenas. We take pride in having sporting events like these in our city as they promote an active lifestyle and showcase local talent.

Over the next few days, you’ll enjoy top-quality hockey, played by Alberta’s best AAA female players. These players will grind it out, heart and soul, for the chance to be named this year’s league champions. I have no doubt that you will be impressed by a great display of athleticism and teamwork.

I would like to congratulate the AMMFHL on organizing this competitive event, and thank the players and coaching staff for their hard work and honest play. Good luck to you all! And, to the spectators, thank you for seizing the opportunity to support sport in our community.
