MARATHON CLASSIC INSIDERS March 2014 Happy St Patricks Day! Happy Spring!! That is me being optimistic!!! After this winter I am sure all of us are looking forward to the summer and warm weather. We are only 4 months away from the 2014 Marathon Clas- sic. 2013 allowed us the opportunity to help 20 local children’s charities in addition to the Ronald McDonald House of NW Ohio and the Jamie Farr Scholarship fund. We, this includes each of our volunteers, have played a part in being able to give $8.1 million to local children charities. This year is no different. Each of us has different reasons why we go out every year giving of our family time or using our vacation time to volunteer. Whatever the reason, it is greatly appreciated by many children who have benefited from our work. Sometimes there are long days but when you are able to see the charities receive the check that will help them help more children you realize it is all worth it. I want to THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU THAT VOLUNTEER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. So if you haven’t filled out that registration yet please do so. Share your volunteer experiences with a friend. If each of us recruits at least one friend this would be approximately an additional 1000 more volunteers. “More hands make light work for all”. Thank you again for all you do! We couldn’t do it without each of you! I can’t wait to see all of you! We will have fun this year!
