4. Report back from Selection Committee

5. Training logistics

Announcement/marketing of the training should begin 3 weeks before the training (approximately April 1.) Matt will need to make decisions about who will be attending. Carol will need to get confirmation from the Yacht Club of the new date.

We need to plan for after the training: evaluation, the pitch to Council for additional training, and retooling of the training based on the evaluations. We want to have open ended questions in the evaluation so we can quote responses for the report to Council. We want to have qualitative as well as quantitative comments/quotes for the Council report. Suggested questions included: What was the most important thing you learned? How will this training affect your work in the future? Want to also use the standard evaluation form the Police Dept. uses for training.

6. Observers in the training -Observers could do tasks like registration, hosting (dealing with toilets, lights, temp etc.), arranging the food, clean up, gopher and being the representative from the Task Force. -It’s better if the observers are doing tasks rather perceived as “spying.” We would need observers who understand police culture to be able to interpret the reactions and that this is important evaluative information.

7. Review and revise timeline (see notes above)

8. Agenda items and focus for next meeting on March 15 Update from Selection Committee Logistics of the training

9. Follow up tasks

-Michael and Harvey will pull together the Selection committee while Carol is on vacation. -Selection Committee to meet and have Consumer and Family member Panel presentation. -Carol will confirm with Emily Keram -Carol will follow up with Matt about whether the police can cover the breakfast of bagels and fruit. -Carol to send a copy of the Council item to the Task Force so that the objectives for the training can be identified.

We don’t need to have the Selection committee to review Jo Robinson but would like them to review the Consumer and Family Member Panel. The date of 4/22/10 is confirmed for the CIT.

The group hasn’t met since the last CIT Task Force meeting. Cathy Christiansen has stepped down. We plan to invite Jo Robinson to talk about Effective Language and Attitudes as Stephanie Polizziani has not responded. We don’t need to have the Selection committee to review Jo Robinson but would like them to review the Consumer and Family Member Panel. The date of 4/22/10 is confirmed for the CIT.
