Challenges for online platforms:

Greater online access to often highly sensitive and contested community mapping data poses certain risks, such as from other competing users of or claims on the forest. Further challenges relate to: • The quality and maintenance of online data (How, by

whom and when was the data generated? • Who provided consent for it to be uploaded? • Who gets to see what? etc.).
