5.2 Machine Mounting

Warning! Tip Hazard! To avoid personal injury, the OXYGEN™ cabinet must be securely attached to the base using all four mounting bolts, and the base must be se-curely attached to the floor or wall.

1. Obtain a suitable stand upon which to install the OXYGEN™. The drill pattern and the recommended minimum clear-ance to the adjacent machines are provided in section 3.4 Technical Data / Footprint/Drill Pattern.

2. Drill four mounting holes and a cable hole in the top of the base. If the machine will be using a coin drop bucket inside the stand, then a coin drop hole must also be cut.

3. Place the machine on the base.

Caution! The machine is heavy. Use a lift truck to transport and lift the machine. Never use the arm rest to lift the machine!

If no lift truck is available, use the recessed grip at the low-er side of the coin bowl to lift the machine. Do not use the arm rest to lift or carry the machine.

4. Place the machine so that the holes on the bottom of the machine are aligned with the holes on the base. You have to remove the hopper (if installed) and the coin drop plas-tic frame to get access to the mounting holes.

Warning! Hand or Head Injury! The main door can slam closed, when the ma-chine is moved jerkily.

5. Insert all four mounting bolts through the bottom of the machine. Place a washer and nut on each of the four bolts inside the base and tighten them. Ensure that no wires are trapped when the bolts are tightened. Ensure that the ma-chine is securely attached to the base, and that the base is securely attached to the floor or wall.

6. Install the hopper and the coin drop frame, if previously removed.

Connect to Floor Network5.9

CRYSTAL.net™5.9.1

A OXYGEN™ machine configured for CRYSTAL.net™ commu-nications will have a CRYSTAL Module (CMOD) installed. Con-nect the CMODs Ethernet port 1 to the CRYSTAL Base Socket (CBSO) which is usually installed in the machine base.

See ATRONIC SYSTEMS / CRYSTAL.net™ Technical Manual for details.

CRYSTAL WEB™5.9.2

A OXYGEN™ machine configured for CRYSTAL WEB™ com-munications will have a Machine Data Controller (MDC) and a Earth Print (EP) installed. Connect the Earth Print to the Base Socket (BSO) which is usually installed in the machine base.

See ATRONIC SYSTEMS / CRYSTAL WEB™ Technical Manual for details.

Non ATRONIC SMIBs5.9.3

Operator specific Slot Machine Interface Boards (SMIB) have to be connected to the Peripheral Board. The Peripheral Board provides three RS232 serial ports to communicate with the SMIB. The three serial ports correspond to SAS channels 1, 2 and 3.

The connector for SAS channel 1 (accounting channel) also incorporates the door contacts and is therefore split into two connectors. The connectors for SAS channels 2 and 3 provide serial communication only.

See next page for a connectors pinout.

Bringing into Service6.

Initial Power-up6.1

Caution: If the machine was exposed to low temperatures, do not power on the machine until it has acclimatized to ambient temperature and no condensation is present.

1. Make sure that the power cable has not been damaged during transport.

2. a) Route the power cable through the cable drop hole in the bottom plate of the machine into the machine base.

b) If you want to use the cable access hole at the back of the cabinet, first remove the hopper to get access to the cable access cover. Then remove the fully closed cover and replace it by a cover with cable recesses.

3. Make sure that the power outlet is grounded, in good con-dition and not showing any signs of overheating or dam-age. Then connect the power cable to the power outlet.

4. With the main door open, turn the power switch to the “ON” position. The power up cycle will take some minutes, because the machine checks the installed hardware, the circuits boards firmware and security relevant circuits.

5. Check the voltage LEDs next to the corresponding fuses on the Peripheral Board. The LED‘s should all be lit.

Proceed with the Basic Setup, as required. (RAM Clear, Initial Setup and Service Menu settings)

For information on configuring the machine’s settings, refer to the Software Manual for a particular software version (e.g. Software Manual - diversity™ - (D3.0.x)) for further details.

6. Bringing into Service

27OXYGEN™ - Installation Manual

Basic Setup6.2

ATRONIC machines usually come configured as specified dur-ing order processing. However it might be necessary to recon-figure basic machine settings, such as denomination, meter-ing, paytable, validation mode, etc. These settings can not be altered during normal operation, as they require a machine re-initialization for technical or jurisdictional reasons.

1. Carry out a RAM Clear If required, carry out a critical data storage formatting us-

ing the RAM Clear Smart Card. This will clear all machine data, statistics and settings, including progressive jackpot configuration and allows for reconfiguration.

2. Carry out the Initial Setup After a RAM Clear the machine automatically enters the

Initial Setup menu. The Initial Setup allows to configure basic machine setting.

3. Adjust game settings in the Service Menu Enter the Service Menu to adjust operator selectable game

settings, such as money limits, game volume

To enter the Service Menu turn the Audit Key with the main door open.

4. Test Money Handling Select Diagnostics from within the Service Menu and carry

out the required tests.

5. Test Communication Close the main door to switch to operation mode and test

the communication to the accounting system.

Note: After money handling and communication tests you may want to carry out another RAM Clear to reset the machine statis-tics.

Note: For information on configur-ing the machine’s settings, refer to the Software Manual for a particular software version (e.g. Software Man-ual - diversity™ - (D3.0.x)) for further details.
