1. Introduction1.1 What is the liniLED® Forta?

The liniLED® Forta is designed to create diffuse light lines. The light image of these lines is completely homogeneous. The liniLED® Forta can be integrated into floor and paving. Due to the use of stainless steel (AISI 316L) and IP68 connectors, these casted light lines are perfectly suited for public applications.

The liniLED® assortment includes two different types of IP68 light lines: the Forta and Forta S. The LED strip used in the Forta S is brighter than the one used in the Forta. The standard lengths are 1'4" (415 mm), 3'4" (1015 mm) and 6'7" (2015 mm).

3.3 Parts included with the liniLED® Forta S

The liniLED® Forta consists of 3 parts: A Luminaire, Mounting profile and a Dummy. The Dummy is used after installing the mounting profile, this creates a protective base untill the luminaire is placed. On the Luminaire there is an end cap connector fixed. This connector is fixed on the female connector of the Luminaire. In the images below the 1'4" (415 mm) variant is shown.

Prepare the cables.

Place the first mounting profile over the connection cable. Mark the location for drilling.

Place the connection cable(s), according to the cable plan.

Danger! Turn off the power before starting the installation!

4. Installation4.1 Before the start of the installation

1. The mounting profile must be placed on a sufficiently strong foundation.

2. A drainage system must be constructed beforehand, because of weather or cleaning activities water can enterthe mounting profiles.

3. Avoid contact corrosion. Make sure that all materials used during installation are suitable for the environment ofthe installation.

4. The luminaire should be installed 5/64" (2mm) under street level.

Mark the locations for drilling.

10

If an power cable runs through the mounting profiles, make sure you put it through the holes in the linkers.

8 Manual

Cover the complete dummy and mounting profile with construction sheet, make sure it fits tightly around the mounting profile and dummy. Use tape at the ends for extra fixture.

Start the pouring of the concrete on the construction sheet. This ensures that the construction sheet stays tight.

11

Secure the mounting profile and linker to the foundation.

Repeat step 7 till 11 untill all mounting profiles and linkers are secured.

12 13

Place dummy in the mounting profile. Repeat untill all dummies are placed.

Note: When using casting or pouring (concrete/ cast floor) follow steps 14a till 18a, otherwise use 14b till 16b
