What to do:1. For this application you will be using FAST MODE and connect the push buttons/sensorsinto FP-PRO HD+ input. If you need more than 6 input, use a FP-PRO IOB. 2. Copy the video into the memory card. See how to create this video in the fast mode page 8.3. Create autoplay.txt.4. After powering up, it will seamlessly loop the Loop video segment.5. When the input is triggered the video clip will be played instantly, no delay.

And here is an example of the memory card in fast mode:

Test.movAutoplay.txt

And here is the content of the autoplay.txt:

fastmode=yes ……. (important: lower case letters only) 00=00,10001=100,160 02=160,24003=240,460

After powering up, FP-PRO HD+ will seamlessly loop 00 (from 0 seconds to 100 seconds).

If Input 1 is triggered, FP-PRO HD+ will instantly jump to 100 seconds and play up to 160seconds and then return to 00 again.

If Input 2 is triggered, FP-PRO HD+ will instantly jump to 160 seconds and play up to 240seconds and then return to 00 again.

Note: To test input, use the IR remote control. To test input 1, press key 1 etc.

3.6 Sync a Group of FP-PRO HD+

After powering up, you want to play sync a group of FP-PRO HD+.

What to do:1. For this application you need 1 FP-PRO HD+ as a master and connect this into the FP-PROIOB and the rest of the FP-PRO HD+’s into the sync board, 2. Set synctime by adding this text line inside the autoplay.txt of the master unit only: 3. synctime=xxx (where xxx is the synctime in 0.1 sec, all lower case letters). 4. Connect the FP-PRO-IOB into the FP-PRO SYNC (RJ12 port next to mini USB port). 5. 60 seconds after powering up, the input board will sync the entire FP-PRO HD+ group. 6. After the initial 60 seconds, the master FP-PRO HD+ will re-issue the sync command at thesynctime interval.

Example of the memory card content for sync playing:

Memory card #1F:/ Tiger.mov autoplay.txt

Memory card #2 F:/ Lion.mov autoplay.txt

Memory card #3 F:/ Cat.mov autoplay.txt

Note: Each memory card will have different loop video but the same play time.

If the file is 80 seconds long, add this text line inside the autoplay.txt of the master unit only:synctime=800. Please note time is in 0.1 seconds increment.

3.7 Remote Management through Network (LAN):

You have a number of FP-PRO HD+ that you want to remotely manage the memory content. These FP-PRO HD+ are connected into the LAN through the LAN port and into a wirelessHUB that is connected into your LAPTOP.

From your LAPTOP wirelessly through the network you want to copy new files, delete someold files and change the operation of the FP-PRO HD+.

What to do:1. For this application you need to use hard drive. 2. Remove the 6 small screws from the front panel and slide out the PCB.3. Install the SATA 2.5” Hard Drive into the socket. Hard drive is any LAPTOP SATA (orSATA2) hard drive, 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm.4. Install rubber pad between the HD and the PCB to avoid contact. Close back the frontpanel. 5. After powering up, the FP-PRO HD+ will automatically go to FORMAT Screen. AnswerYES to format. Midway formatting a window will appear asking to transfer BT/SAMBA.

4. Standard- or Fast Mode

4.1 Choose Mode

If the autoplay.txt has the following statement:

fastmode=yes (lower case letters only), then FP-PRO HD+ will enter Fast Mode. If theautoplay.txt DOES NOT have fastmode statement, then FP-PRO HD+ is in standard mode.

4.2 When to use Fast Mode or Standard mode

• If you need instant playback when a input (push button) is triggered, choose FastMode.

• In this Fast Mode you are limited to maximum 32 inputs (files) and you have tocombine these 32 files into a single file.

• If you are playing many files (different format) using push button OR need to useTimer and/or IR mode, choose the standard mode. In this mode, there is a 2-3 secondsdelay between input trigger.

4.3 Fast Mode

In this mode, FP-PRO HD+ will play a video segment instantly when an input is triggered. The FP-PRO HD+ will only play only a single file in the root, it will not play multiple files. After powering up, FP-PRO HD+ will SEAMLESSLY loop line 00 (see line 00 explanationbelow).

If you have a number of files that you want to play using the input, use your video editingsoftware to combine these files together to create a new single file. This single file is basicallya compilation of many files (video segments) where each video segment is represented byplaytime in seconds. You can then assign different input to play these different videosegments.

Example:

Suppose you have 4 different files, 1 loop file: loop.mov and 3 files to play using input:Lion.mov, Dog.mov and Tiger.mov.

Suppose Loop.mov is 100 second long, Lion.mov is 60 seconds, Dog.mov is 80 secs andTiger.mov is 220 secs.

Use your video software editing program to combine these 4 files and create a single file e.g.Test.mov. Inside this test.mov, you actually have 4 video segments: loop, lion, dog andtiger.mov. Total playtime of this test.mov is 100+60+80+220= 460 seconds long.

Page 21

Note:When creating the new single file video, end each segment of the video into the nearest fullsecond by adding black screens.

Example:

If the original Loop.mov is only 99.3 seconds, end this loop.mov segment at 100 seconds byadding 0.7 seconds of black screens. This segment is 100 seconds and starts at 0 sec and endsat 100 seconds.

After powering up, FP-PRO HD+ will seamlessly loop this Loop.mov.

If the original Lion.mov is only 59.7 seconds, end this loop.mov segment at 160 seconds byadding 0.3 seconds of black screens. This segment is 60 seconds and starts at 100 sec andends at 160 seconds.

If the original Dog.mov is only 78.2 seconds, end this loop.mov segment at 240 seconds byadding 1.8 seconds of black screens. This segment is 80 seconds and starts at 160 sec andends at 240 seconds, etc.

And here is an example of the memory card in fast mode:

Test.mov Autoplay.txt

And here is the content of the autoplay.txt:

5. Sync a Group of FP-PRO HD+

Use this mode if you want to sync a group of FP-PRO HD+ to create a single videopresentation. To sync together a group of FP-PRO HD+’s, you need 1 FP-PRO-IOB and theFP-PRO SYNC(s).

Please refer to the input board section below. The FP-PRO-IOB has a 4 pole dipswitchlocated at the rear. Switch is OFF if it is in UP position and ON if in DOWN position.

The input board is in sync mode if switch #3 (JP3) is ON (switch is in down position).

When input board is in SYNC MODE, it will initially send a SYNC command 60 secondsafter powering up and then continuously send sync commands at a preset time intervals. Thispreset time interval is called the synctime.

The synctime can be set by adding synctime=xxxx inside autoplay.txt of the master unit only.Xxxx is the synctime in 0.1 seconds increment. The sync board itself does not have anyswitches or settings.

Note: The FP-PRO HD+’s are sync based on it’s internal video clock not the SMPTE clock.

Here is an example on how to sync 3 FP-PRO HD+’s:

Page 33

Note: Input board will automatically send SYNC command 60 seconds after powering up andwill continue sending sync commands as set by the synctime.

The synctime is set by adding this line inside the autoplay.txt of the master unit only:

synctime=xxxx. (xxxx is the synctime in 0.1 seconds increment). If an input is triggered, thesync will be OFF! To return to sync mode again, manually trigger the sync command bymomentarily shorting the UP and Ground terminal.

To expand the sync network, add Sync board only. You do not need to add another inputboard. Each sync board can connect into 2 (or 3) FP-PRO HD+.

Example:

To sync 5 or 6 FP-PRO HD+, you only need to add 1 more sync board (total 2 sync boards).Maximum connection is 2 sync boards, total 6 FP-PRO HD+. For larger sync system (morethan 6) use RS485 hub.For more information contact heddier electronic Inc.
