1 PURPOSE

This Standard specifies the connection arrangements that shall be used to meet the electricity requirements of customers supplied at either low voltage (LV) (up to 4000 kVA) or alternatively at medium voltage (MV). Connection arrangements, options for achieving higher than normal levels of reliability, together with the required high and low voltage electrical protection devices are included.

This Standard supersedes the Western Power Document (record DMS# 3254304]

previously in use by Horizon Power since disaggregation.

2 SCOPE

This Standard covers the following arrangements:

Low voltage connection arrangements to be used for customer electricity

supply up to 4000 kVA, including the maximum consumers mains sizes and electrical protection devices that shall be used;

Medium voltage connection arrangements to be used for customer electricity

supply at medium voltage supply;

District, Sole use and Customer Owned Substation arrangements, required

to provide for the customers present and future load requirements;

Arrangements available to provide higher levels of reliability to meet

customers required supply reliability requirements.
