The Manti-La Sal National Forest, MoablMonticello District proposes to authorize Kimmerle Mining LLC to drill 8 uranium exploration holes located in Section 5, Township 29 South, Range 25 East, Salt Lake Base Meridian, San Juan County, Utah. The access road and exploration holes will be on previously disturbed areas, although minor removal of vegetation (no large trees) and some pad preparation will be needed. The holes will be drilled to 560 feet deep and will be approximately 5 inches in diameter. They will be plugged and reclaimed according to State and Forest Service specifications. Total surface disturbance including access road will be less than 2 acres . Reclamation of the drill holes and access roads will take place as soon as possible after construction, weather permitting. Standard design features plus any additional ones identified in the environmental process will be adhered to by the company. A bond will be held until reclamation is complete.
