Mansfietd High School SpringDrumline Camps
The following packet is the music that you will need for the MHS SpringDrumline Camps. These four days (5/L6,5/22,5/24,&5/25) will notonly serve as your introduction into the Mansfield High School MarchingBand, but it will also serye as your audition process for the MansfieldHigh School Drumline. All camps will be from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Here is some important information you should have, and most likelyhave questions about:
. All Drumline spots are open! ANYONE CAN MAKE ANY SPOT!o No one is guaranteed a specific spot.
. The way to have the best chance at getting the spot you want is toprepare as much as possible. Just realize that there are going tobe several people auditioning for the same spot as you.
o You should have your music in a 3-ring binder, with clear plasticsheet protectors (Have the music already in the sheet protectorsbefore camp).
r Come dressed in comfortable clothing, we drum outside!o No sandals or flip-flops!
o Make sure you bring a water bottle; you will want to takeadvantage of the water breaks you get.
The audition will take place over all four days of the camp. You will tryout on the instrument of your choice, but also be moved around to trydifferent instruments as needed. The staff will determine your overallplacement within a section based on the results of your playing duringthese days.
Spots will be determined by the following criteria:. Ability to play the music. Improvementduring/betvveencampsr Attitude/behavior. Physicalrestrictions/limitations
