4:00pm for the Christmas break.

Music Friday 13 December - No Music Theory, Upper School Choir or Orchestra due to the end

of term.

Sport

Tuesday 10 December - Year 4 House Hockey, 1:45pm at Tilsley Park.

Please may we take this opportunity to remind parents that when you are collecting your

child from an away fixture, the meeting point is in the Sports Hall. Please may we also ask

that you sign your child out with the teacher in charge before leaving school. Thank you.

You will receive an email to notify you if your child has been selected for a fixture

Reminders: w/c Monday 9 December 2019 (Week A)

Year 1 and 2 Christingle The Year 1 and 2 children performed beautifully last week in their

Christmas Celebration and sang fantastically at both performances.

Their smiling faces were met by a warm crowd of friends and family

encouraging them. Thank you to all the staff for preparing the

children’s poems and songs so well. The Christingle service was a

beautiful occasion and the moment was captured with a tangible peace

felt in the room, as the candles flickered and the children reflected on

the symbolism of the Christingle itself. We were once again privileged

to kick off the festive celebrations and invite Christmas to begin at The

Manor!

Decorating St Helen’s Church for the Carol Service

If you have any foliage, evergreen or Christmas holly to donate, to dress the church for our Carol Service, please

could you leave it behind the Y6 block by Wednesday 11 December - thank you. If you would like to volunteer to help

decorate the church on the morning of Thursday 12 December, please email MAP Chair, Sarah Bell.

Toy Appeal for Early Birds and Extended Day

If you have any Action Man or Barbie type toys that need a new home, we would love them for Early Birds and

Extended Day please. Thank you.

MAP Christmas Jumper Sale Raises £37

A huge thank you to all who supported the Christmas Jumper Sale, by both donating and purchasing jumpers. We

are delighted that the sale raised £37 but more importantly, we practically sold out! Thank you to Brandy, Lily and

Katherine for organising it. We will have a Christmas Jumper amnesty in the New Year and collect jumpers ready for

another sale next Christmas!

Reminder - Manor Fun this Christmas

Please can all parents of children attending Manor Fun remember to bring in a nut-free packed lunch. The children

will be performing a Christmas Concert on Friday 20 December at 3:00pm, all are welcome to join us. Refreshments

will be served from 2:30pm.

Collections at Christingle and Early Years Nativity

Thank you to all who kindly donated to the retiring collections at the Year 1 and 2 Christingle and Early Years

Nativity. We are delighted that £402.72 has been raised for The Children’s Society and £390 for the Children’s

Hospital at the JR in Oxford.
