consideration and approval.

III. Miscellaneous proposals

C.III.1 Application from M/s.Authentic Ocean Treasure for upfront exemption from Service Tax on list of default authorized services

M/s.Authentic Ocean Treasure, a new unit in MSEZ, vide their letter dated

17.02.2017 (Annexure A) has requested for approval of the entire list of default authorized

services issued by Department of Commerce to avail upfront Service Tax exemptions. The

proposal is placed before the Approval Committee for consideration.

C.III.2 Application from M/s.Catasynth Speciality Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. for upfront

exemption from Service Tax on list of default authorized services

M/s.Catasynth Speciality Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., a new unit in MSEZ, vide their letter

dated 20.03.2017 (Annexure B) has requested for approval of the entire list of default

authorized services issued by Department of Commerce to avail upfront Service Tax

exemptions. The proposal is placed before the Approval Committee for consideration.

C.III.3 Monitoring of procurement, consumption and utilization of goods procured by the

Developer

As per Rule 12(6) read with Rule 22(4) of the SEZs Rules 2006, the Developer shall

maintain a proper account of the import or procurement, consumption and utilization of

goods and submit quarterly and half-yearly returns in Form E. Quarterly reports for the first

three quarters of FY 2016-17 (ie. April December 2016) (Annexure C) are placed before

the Approval Committee for consideration as envisaged in the aforesaid Rules.

C.III.4 Application from M/s.ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited for upfront

exemption from Service Tax on (i) Stock broker service and (ii) Service for repair,

reconditioning, restoration or decoration or any other similar services, of any

motor vehicles

M/s.ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited, a unit in MSEZ, vide their letter dated

21st March 2017 (Annexure D) has requested for approval of two services to avail Service

Tax exemptions. The items are

(i) Stock broker services : The Unit is availing the service of arranging

commercial papers for short terms funds required for operational needs

from some service providers viz. LKP Securities Ltd., NVS Brokerage Pvt. Ltd.,

etc.

(ii) Service for repair, reconditioning, restoration, or decoration or any other

similar services, of any motor vehicle : The Unit is availing the service of

repair and maintenance of Fire & Safety Vehicles/Fire tenders used for fire

and safety requirement of the plant from certain authorized service centres.
