Dear Parents and Carers
We’ve had an excellent start to the new school year, including a delightful letter from
Birmingham City Council congratulating us on our fantastic results last year. Our
cleaners did a wonderful job cleaning and smartening up the school over the summer.
Thank you to Janet and her team. It’s going to be a busy term and the school staff
have been working hard both before term and throughout this week to make sure
everything has run as smoothly as possible. Thank you to the two Janes, our office
manager and our cook, for working with parents and staff to implement the new
Aspens Select system to enable children and parents to book lunches in advance.
Upcoming events include the Year 6 Residential Meeting, Music Lesson trials,
Welcome Meetings, and Parents Meetings. Dates for a variety of events are included
in the Dates for your Diary or if unsure, please contact the school office. Finally,
‘Welcome!’ to our five super new teachers. Mrs Whitehead
At Maney Hill we want all the children to be happy, secure and learning. The Behaviour Policy is one of our key policies. It supports the children in learning to behave well, take responsibility for their own behaviour and having a good attitude to their learning. The staff and children at Maney Hill are following an updated Behaviour Policy. We are asking all children to be Ready, Respectful and Safe so that they can be happy, secure and learning.
Welcome Meetings
Tuesday 18th – Y1, Y2 and Y3 parents’ meeting.
Wednesday 19th – Y4, Y5 and Y6 parents’ meeting.
Wednesday 25th – Reception parents’ meeting.
In a change to previous years, the meetings will be
held in the morning.
Tea and coffee will be available from 8.55am and
the meetings start at 9.15am. We know that many of our parents work and it can be a
challenge to attend every school event. For parents unable to
attend, the termly newsletters will be available on the school
website.
