BASIC PRINCIPLE OF TV BUSINESS
1. TV is a political and economy media. (Golding and Murdoch 1987)
2. TV is a cultural industry
3. TV is a “show must going on” business.
4. TV is a capital and technology intensive business
As an industry and business institution the goal of any TV station is to grab as much audience as possible, reflected in TVR and TVA, which measured by AC-Nielsen.
AC-Nielsen doing daily research in 7 cities: Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogya, Surabaya, Medan, Palembang and Makasar. And release the result every Wednesday.
