Purpose & difference

The Government White Paper, Liberating the NHS: Developing theHealthcare Workforce, was launched in January 2011, setting out proposalsfor a new workforce, education and training system to support safe andhigh quality care.

Purpose & difference

We will take the excellence and best practice from what we do now andcreate a new LETB organisation that will;

• Plan, educate, train and develop the healthcare workforce that isneeded in order to deliver safe, high quality and responsive primarycare, community health services, public health and patient care inacute settings, for the people of the East Midlands, now and intothe future

• Focus on delivering today as well as creating the conditions for highperformance tomorrow
