Manager’s Responsibilities

Administrative Duties Signing the score sheet

at the end of a game Checking schedules for

updates (including play-off schedules)

Ensuring that enough eligible players are at each game with their valid NU Husky ID

Sportsmanship Duties Educating your team of

the Intramurals Rules and Policies, including the Intramural Code of Conduct

You are responsible for the behavior of your team and spectators

Player Eligibility One co-ed and one men’s/women’s team Must participate in one regular season game to play in play-

offs Varsity Players

Current varsity athletes cannot play in the related sport in which they are currently participating (includes transfers, red shirts and those practicing with the team)

If they have completed their varsity eligibility, they must wait one year to participate in their related sport

All ejected players must meet with the Intramural Director to be reinstated!

Use of an ineligible player will result in a game forfeit!

Roster Additions Roster additions must be done by 3:00pm

the day of your scheduled game. All additions are made online through the

link on our website. A roster can have a maximum of 15 people.

Protests Player Eligibility and Game Protests Only Steps to follow in a protest

1. Voice your protest to your captain and have the captain bring the protest to the attention of the IM staff.

2. If you disagree with the decision, ask to fill out the protest form on-site with the IM Sport Supervisor. This form lets me know that you are going to fill out the on-line form

3. Once you get home fill out the on-line form as well. This must be done by NOON the next business day after your game.

Forfeits GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME! Forfeits occur when…

A team cannot field the required number of eligible players by the designated game time.

A violation of any rule as stated in the Intramural Sports Code of Conduct

1 Forfeit = loss of $10 2 Forfeits = loss of $10 and dropped from league If you are eligible for a refund it must be picked up

by the end of finals.

Banned Equipment and Jewelry Policy

Religious Jewelry and Headgear Must be approved by The Director of Spiritual

Life and the Intramural Director at least 5 business days before the game in which you want to play!

If you do not receive approval you will not be able to play!

All other jewelry is not allowed!

Intramural Code of Conduct

The Office of Campus Recreation takes sportsmanship very seriously and offenders will be dealt with accordingly. Sportsmanship policies will be enforced strictly to ensure the safety and enjoyment of ALL participants, including our Student Intramural Staff. Actions that are dangerous and/or conduct that is detrimental to the Intramural Program will not be tolerated and are grounds for suspension from further participation in all Intramural Sports activities.

The Office of Campus Recreation has the Jurisdiction to: Suspend or remove individuals and teams from

participation in any and all Intramural Sports activities.

The right to remove any player or team for involvement and/or further unsportsmanlike actions, and to refer participants to OSCCR and make recommendations for their consideration.

Ejections and Suspensions: There is an automatic minimum of a one game suspension for all individual

ejections. Ejected players will be asked to leave the field of play and the facility. The ejected person must leave the playing area immediately and has 5

minutes to leave the facility. Any ejected person not adhering to this rule will cause their team’s game to

be forfeited and face possible referral to OSCCR. Most suspensions will be served in the sport in which the offense occurred,

but individuals can be suspended from all Intramural sports and events depending on the severity of their offense.

In cases occurring late in the sport season or the academic year, a suspension may carry over into the next sport, season, semester, or academic year.

Team and Individual Unsportsmanlike Violations and the possible disciplinary actions are listed in the updated Intramural Handbook.

If you want to be reinstated you must meet with the Intramural Director or the Intramural Designee, and in some cases OSCCR.
