Challenge Faced: L&T IDPL is largest Road developers in India with 20 subsidiary companies, >40 Offices & Toll Plazas in diverse remote locations. There is a need to provide robust and reliable connectivity to Head Office as Business critical applications (>15) are hosted centrally & needs to be accessed by all SPVs. In addition to this, data needs to be shared with NHAI-EDI/ETC-CCH (Central Clearing House) on real-time basis. Delivered Solution: Connected all the offices through MPLS, 25 locations of CCTVs & 10 locations of Video conferencing using Star Mesh Topology. Implemented dual last mile connectivity & ILL in Head Quarters and configured CoS for better utilization. Implemented ILL connectivity, wherever MPLS feasibility was not there and connected to MPLS using Site to Site VPN.

IT Security Implementation:Challenge Faced: All Toll Plazas have 3 different networks - Office n/w, Toll n/w & Highway Traffic Maintenance System n/w & all these networks are segregated. Delivered Solution: Implemented "VDOM (Virtual Domain)" technology, SSL VPN & "multi token" authentication for segregating the 3 different networks & enabled remote access to vendors and internal users authorized for remote access.

IT Helpdesk Tool: Challenge Faced: Timely co-ordination and management of L2 & L3 IT support engineers who were working on various locations to take care of IT support.Delivered Solution: Customized and implemented “Manage Engine Helpdesk Tool” (Zoho Product) for call logging, tracking, remote support and asset management.

Primary & Remote Disaster Recovery Data Center Setup: HP c7000 Enclosure, c3000 Enclosure with 20 nos. of HP BL460c G7 & 2 nos. of P4500 storage box installed in PDC. Installed Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 & Windows 2012 R2 & SQL 2008 R2, SQL 2012 DBs. Also using SCOM and what’s up gold for Servers and Application Monitoring. SCCM for Windows update, Symantec for Antivirus update, SCVMM for Hyper V Management.Through log shipping we are transferring the database from primary to RDR.

Biz Mon (Business Monitor):Objective: Application to track opportunities, bidding and competitors information by the business development team.Desired Solution: Created a web application to track the various bid stages and the information related to bid stages. Captures the various competitors information and their rankings. Provided dashboards to analyse the market share of various competitors for selected period (including Mergers & Acquisitions). Reports to show project’s list, bid results, participant information.

L&T IDPL Portal Website:Objective: Improved Employee collaboration, Correspondence, Document & Knowledge Management.Desired Solution: Created a portal using MS SharePoint 2010 server with multiple optionCorporate and Departmental home pages with CMS.
