Lord sri krshNA took upon Himself voluntarily the purushakAram of pirAtti and

    delivered the sacred bhagavth gEthA.

Thus it may be observed that, the Lord showers His blessings on us voluntarily the

purushakAra and upAya vaibhavam. This again reiterates the fact that The Almighty is

swAthanthriyanand has got every prerogative to accept, reject or voluntarily bless

taking upon Himself even the purushakArarole.

However, how does one ensures this in a fail-proof and foolproof manner, is the whole

subject matter of srEvachana bhUshaNam and this aspect is summed up in the upadhEsa

    rethinamAlai pAsuram

The soul on surrendering at the feet of ones AchAryA -who is full of knowledge and

practice- is blesssed by sriman nArAyaNA voluntarily.

The term thAnEAis significant. The Lord as seen in the 14th sUthram of

srEvachanabhUshaNam hereinabove, blesses the soul voluntarily by taking upon Himself

the role of purushakAram and upAyam, once we surrender at our AchAryAs divine feet.

Does it not then highlight that, each and every term periya jEyar uses-prayOgam- is with a

    purpose?thAnEA vaikuntham tharum

    mAmunikaLs open mind

It is well known that periya jEyar has prescribed learning through AchAryAs teachings

and follow them meticulosuly. Differing from the views of pUrvAchAryAs has beenproscribed as per the upadhEsa rethinamAlai pAsurammunnoAr mozhindha

However, sri vAdhi kEsari azhagia maNavALa jEyar has given a commentary-

pannErAyirappadi vyAkyAnam- for thriuvoizmozhi. This is more or less based on the

meanings of the terms of pAsurams. Therefore, it is easier to understand and learn initally.

Keeping this in mind periya jEayar has appreciated this work as pinbOrum

    kaRRaRindhu pEasugaikkAFor the

benefit of posterity, this commentary has been appreciated.

However, lot of differences crept in, in relation to pUrvAchAryAs thoughts. Therefore, tohighlight this the termstham periya bOdhamudanis

prefixed to this work meaning he did this work independent of pUrvAchAryAs line of

thinking. This prefix has to be given as he did not toe the lineage of our pUrvAchAryAs.

Nevertheless, basically the work was good and azhagia maNavALach jEyar was a great

scholar. Hence, the term blemishless is added to the work == yEadhamil pannErAyiram.

Thus the 45th pAsuram of upadhEsa rethihnamAlai:

anbOdu azhagia maNavALac jEyar, pinbOarum kaRRaRindhu

pEasugaikkA, tham periya bOdhamudam mARAn maRaiyin

    poruL vuraithadhu, yEadhamil pannErAyiram

Does it not display the open mindedness of sri maNavALa mAmunikaL?
