TransmissionMAN 12 speed TipMatic (ZF AStronic) gearbox. 12 forward speeds, 2 reverse ratios. Suitable for gross train weights up to 90T. Automated constant-mesh gearbox.

With MAN TipMatic, shifting and clutching are electro-pneumatic - there is no clutch pedal. Normal mode is automated with manual mode available (shifting via fingertip lever). ‘M’ setting for precise low-speed manoevering in forward & reverse. ‘X’ setting for off- road use.

Wheels and TyresFitted with 315/80 R22.5 tyres on 9.00 x 22.5 10 hole steel disc wheels. Spare wheel carrier mounted on left side of chassis.

Basic wheel changing equipment supplied.

Fuel Tank400L steel fuel tank with guard plate on right + 35L Adblue tank on left, with lockable caps.

Option of 600L aluminium tank +35L Adblue.

PTOCrankshaft driven (live-drive) power take-off on the flywheel side of the engine at 12 o’clock position. Ratio = 1.233, rated up to 870Nm continuous operation. Complete with dual-flange elastic coupling damper.

Transfer CaseG252 two-speed transfer case with (dis)engageable drive to front axle.

Intake / Exhaust SystemRaised air intake with pre-filter mounted on the L/H side of the cab with air filter housing under rear of cabin.

Exhuast mounted on R/H side of chassis with vertical discharge.

Front Axle / SuspensionMAN hub reduction VP-09 (9,000kg) driven front axle. Drive to front axle (dis)engageable.

Differential lock with warning buzzer. 8,000kg parabolic springs with stabiliser & shock absorbers.

Rear Axles / SuspensionMAN Hub-reduction HPD 1382 / HP 1352 tandem axle with slide shackle multi-leaf springs, stabilisers & shock absorbers.

Fitted with inter axle & cross axle differential locks. Standard diff ratio of 4.00, optional diff ratios available: 3.25 / 3.63 / 4.33 / 4.83. Suspension design rating 2 x 13,000kg.

Cab InteriorHigh comfort ISRI driver’s seat with air suspension, integrated seat belt and arm rests. Factory fitted climate control system.

Double DIN sized MAN Topline stereo system with 5.2” touchscreen, AM / FM tuner, CD player, USB & auxiliary inputs, Bluetooth, control functions integrated with the multi function steering wheel.

6-speaker sound system.

Electrically operated power windows. Central storage box between the seats, large storage drawer in the dash console, modular cup holder and glasses storage compartment. Silver dashboard trim strip.

Optional electrical preparation for reverse camera connection, and optional integrated navigation available.

FrameHigh-build design ladder frame made from QstE500TM high strength steel. Frame Dimensions 270mm x 85mm x 9.5mm. 3 piece steel bumper fitted.

Front Under Run Protection System (FUPS) not fitted to this model due to off road vehicle classification.

ClutchSingle plate 430mm diameter clutch - asbestos free.

Speed LimiterVehicle electronically limited to 100kmh. Driver programmable speed limit function can operate between 40kmh and 100kmh.

Cab OptionsM Cab (day) 2240mm wide, 1880mm long.

Instrument PanelFull electronic Base Line dash display with easy access to vehicle information systems. Permanent guages: tachometer, speedometer, odometer, air pressure guages, coolant temperature, fuel guage, indicator operation, gear selection.

Sample electronic display: time, outside temperature, turbo boost, trip meter, brake wear, oil level, fuel consumption, battery voltage, etc.

Warning lights for all major functions such as: diff lock status, low air pressure, low fuel, lights, cab lock, etc.

Brake SystemMAN Electronic Brake System (EBS) with ABS standard. Drum brakes fitted to all axles.

Full air operated system fitted with air dryer.

Hand operated trailer brake.

MAN ‘Easy-start’ function holds service brakes on hills for smoother pulling away. Off-road ABS switch for improved braking performance when off road.

Cab ExteriorCab compliant with ECE R29 safety requirements. All metal parts are Galvanised. 65 degree cab tilt angle, 87 degree door opening.

Exterior sunvisor. Entry lighting for driver and passenger. Central locking for both doors. Electrically adjustable and heated rear view and kerb-view mirrors. Manual front-view mirror.

Lockable front access panel. Electrically operated cab tilting mechanisim.

Mechanical roof hatch. Coil sprung cab mounts front and rear. Chrome trim to front grille. Stone guard grille in front of radiator.

LightsHeadlights fitted with longlife H7 type globes. Lighting system operation check.

Protective grille for headlights.

Electrical System24V Electrical system with manual battery isolation switch. 80 Amp alternator, 2 x 155Ah batteries.

KSM module fitted for communication of required body/chassis function.
