Students who successfully complete senior VCAL will be given a notional ATAR by RMIT. This enables them to apply for RMIT certificate, diploma and advanced diploma programs.

Students apply through VTAC and students will be automatically assigned a notional ATAR.

If you have always wanted to work in fashion and have a flair for the creative, then RMIT’s new Diploma of Fashion Styling will assist you to develop your creative skills and fashion knowledge to work at the forefront of the global styling industry.

Offered at the Brunswick campus, this one year program will develop the creative skills and fashion knowledge to work as a fashion stylist.

Students who don’t meet the entry requirements for science and engineering diploma programs at RMIT are encouraged to consider the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation.

This preparatory program develops the academic skills, knowledge and confidence required to participate in higher-level qualifications.

It also offers guaranteed pathways (certain criteria must be met) into a range of science and engineering diploma programs at RMIT.

What’s Happening On Campus____________________________Science Experience registrations open

The Science Experience is three fun-filled days of hands-on activities and practical experiences for students entering Year 10 in 2016.

This popular school holiday program allows Australia’s next generation of curious scientists to go behind the scenes and sample the exhilarating world of science and technology.

Eco-themed iPad game wins iAward for RMIT Computer Science student

First year Bachelor of Computer Science student, Josh Caratelli, has won a National iAward for the development of an educational iPad and iPhone game.

Josh was recognised in the secondary student category for his eco-themed Smog Game, which he developed in his final year at Elwood College and while studying programming as part of his VCE Extension Studies at RMIT.

RMIT Engineering lecturer wins 2015 Engineer of the Year

RMIT’s Dr Nicky Eshtiaghi, who is a senior lecturer in Chemical Engineering, has been awarded the 2015 Victorian Professional Engineer of the Year by professional body Engineers Australia. This award is designed to recognise those who contribute to the community and profession through innovation, leadership, ingenuity and creativity.

Dr Eshtiahi is currently the Chair of the Engineers Australia and IChemE Joint Victorian Chemical Engineering Committee (JVCEC) whilst also lecturing in Chemical Engineering at RMIT.

Cody has gone on maternity leave and we congratulate her on the arrival of her second child. We look forward to welcoming Cody back in 2016.
