Breast cancer is common and screening has been shown to reduce breast cancer death; however, guidelines defining best practice differ in age to start and best screening frequency. Some guidelines recommend that the clinician engage the patient in shared decision-making (SDM) conversation that includes the rates of benefits and harms, though clinicians have limited access risk calculators and tools to support risk based discussions that can be used efficiently in a clinic visit.
