PRODUCTSAt the Webster foundry, we work with a number of widely used malleable iron classes, and offer a complete range of secondary operations and quality control capabilities. We cast in sizes from two ounces to fifty pounds in the following metals:

• White Iron

• High Alloy White Iron

• Ferritic Malleable Iron (ASTM A47 Grade 32510)

• Pearlitic Malleable Iron (ASTM A220 Grade 60004)

Additional classifications and grades of iron can also be achieved at Webster for customer or application specific requirements.

Beyond the basic foundry operations of grinding, straightening, simple machining, drilling and tapping, Webster is able to offer short lead times, small or large runs, and customer-specified deviations from standard specifications or chemistries.

SECONDARY OPERATIONSWebster foundry products are supported and enhanced by our vertically integrated manufacturing philosophy, which makes us unique from other foundries. With comprehensive on-site facilities, skilled machinists, and modern CNC equipment, Webster can offer products tailored to your specific requirements, from raw cutting to finished product. Webster operates efficiently in product planning and execution, saving the customer time and money due to the following in-house capabilities:

• Heat Treatment (including quench and temper)

• Sheet Metal Fabrication

• Punching and Stamping

• Laser and Water Jet Cutting

SURFACE FINISHWebster foundry’s non-machined casting surfaces range between 560-720 or better on the American Foundry Society’s C-9 Micro Finish Comparator.

COATINGSStandard castings at Webster are commonly shipped with no coating for the customer to machine or coat to finished product. However, Webster can offer painting, powder coating, e-coating, zinc plating, and nickel plating, among other finishes, at the customer’s request.

QUALITY MONITORINGMaintaining consistent quality is an essential component to Webster’s corporate approach and the continued success of our foundry. Not only is Webster ISO9001:2015 registered, but the following quality control processes are utilized to help ensure quality and consistency:

• Gauging

• 100% Visual Inspection

• Physical Testing and Analysis

• Magnetic Particle Testing

• Dimensional Testing

• Hardness Testing

• Certification (ASTM and other)

• Chemistry Analysis

In addition, key operations utilize Statistical Process Control, and a fully equipped in-plant laboratory is used to maintain metallurgical control of the casting process.

Conflict minerals reports, SOS sheets, NAFTA paperwork, material certifications, and certificates of origin are available at the customer’s request.
