The organization of the Royal Engineers Regiment as follows

1 Engineers Command HQ subordinated to Army HQ

3x Field Engineers HQ

7x Engineers Combat Squadrons

3x Engineers Support Squadrons

1x Engineers Armoured Squadron

1x Engineers Mechanised Squadron

1x Engineers Construction Regiment

1x Engineers Reserve Regiment

1x Engineers Paratroop Squadron

1x Territorial Army Engineers Communication and Maintenance Specialist Group HQ

4x Territorial Army Engineers Specialist Regiments

4x Territorial Army Engineers Squadrons

Engineers squadron is commanded by a Major. In each squadron there are HQ Element, 3 Field Troops

and a Plant Troop. Troop is usually commanded by a Captain or Lieutenant.
