BACKGROUND

Maktech was established and duly registered as a private company in Mozambique in 2011. It hasdistinguished itself as a premier telecommunications contracting company offering a wide range ofvalue added and specialized telecommunications services.

The company has Tanzanian Shareholding and as a company Maktech was founded to fill in the gap inthe telecommunications industry locally with the sole intent of providing specialized, quality servicesto operators in Africa as a whole.

Maktech`s vision aims at providing portable communication to the people of Africa while also offering a platform for talented citizens in Mozambique to obtain training and improvetheir lives.

In this regard Maktech seeks to utilize local expertise wherever our operations may be while onlyemploying a few, specialized foreign experts.

Maktech is conversant and competent in installation of overhead and underground work with a highlytrained group of skilled engineers and technicians whose execution of projects will meet your rollouttargets.

Maktech can manage any type Optic fiber installation and commissioning as per clients specification.We can help you complete your optic fiber connections from trenching, cable and duct installation, andoverhead pole mounted installation.

We are also committed to taking all necessary precautions to identify existing underground utilityinstallations before we start on a job.

Maktech & Telecommunications Limitada staffs have been involved in the laying of the fiber opticcable in Southern African countries (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa) amongother telecommunications services in line with the latest global technology.


PERSONEL

Chief Executive Officer - Godwin Makyao Godwin holds a BSC (Electronic & Communication) Honors Degree from the University of Dar esSalaam, several certificates and training courses on telecommunication and a Masters in BusinessAdministration at University of Liverpool UK. Godwin’s experience spans over 14 years during whichhe has gained a wealth of experience and come to understand the intricacies of the telecommunicationsindustry globally. Prior to forming Maktech, Godwin worked at Vodacom Tanzania as a TransmissionCoordinator and TRITEL as Head of Transmissions.

John Matau - BSS ManagerMatau has an impressive knowledge of the telecommunications industry and the dynamics involveddue to great experience gained over the years. He holds and an international Advanced Diploma incomputer Studies (IADCS) majoring in Programming, International diploma in Computer Studies(IDCS) majoring in programming, Full Technician Certificate Course (FTC) in ElectronicsTelecommunications Engineering (DSM Institute of Technology)

Samwel Mbundu - TX Project ManagerIs an expert in network design, configurations network deployment, network optimization and projectmanagement of networks. He holds a BSC Honors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universityof Dar es Salaam and numerous other certifications. He is a force to reckon with in thetelecommunication industry due to his permission in the installation and commissioning of alltransmission networks. Samwel also imparts knowledge in the field staff on the various technologicaltrends and proper industry practices.

Julius Lyakurwa - Project Manager Julius has been in the telecommunications industry for over ten years during which he has gained a lotof experience in Installation, commissioning and Integration of network. He holds a Bsc in Engineeringand possesses exceptional logistic and project management skills.

Tengwe Mukwenya - Transmission Manager Tengwe has over 15 years telecoms experience in Africa and has trained with the majorTelecommunications vendors giving him a broad expertise. He is well-versed with a wide range oftechnologies including Optic Fiber deployment. Mukwenya holds a Full Technician Certificate Course(FTC) in Electronics and Telecommunications from Harare Polytechnic, Zimbabwe.



Judith Godi - Corporate Manager Judy has extensive experience in management of the company, client relations, corporate and companylegal affairs and pricing strategies. Judy has been with Maktech for the main part of its history and hasinfluenced the successes and growth in the formative years. She holds a BA Degree in Sociology fromthe University of Dar es Salaam.

Timothy Mugendi - O&M Manager Timothy has strong project management skills and total quality management for network. He headsthe operations and maintenance department due to his knowledge in power mechanics and alsofamiliarity with the installation, commissioning & integration of equipment from the large telecomvendors. Timothy has a comprehensive background in Quality Management. He holds a degree in BioMechanical an Environmental Engineering.

Isabelle Waweru - Business Development ManagerIsabelle has an impressive and knowledgeable foundation in the business field. She hasadequate experience in research, sales, marketing, advertising, client relations and communications.She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree - Communication from Daystar University, Kenya and is cur-rently undergoing her last year at ESAMI (East and Southern Africa Management Institute) for theMBA degree.

Sophia Rosario - Administration OfficerSophia is a hardworking and administrator with a good understanding of the Mozambique legalenvironment and labor laws. She holds a Bachelor degree in English from Universidade pedagogica,Maputo.
