A MOOC which supports students in the transition from 2nd to 3rd level education in Ireland
The Learning Journey MOOC is a project supported by the National Forum for Teaching and Learning Building Digital Capacity fund. It is a collaborative project involving Sligo Institute of Technology, Galway-Mayo IT, Limerick IT, Mary Immaculate College , University of Limerick, Letterkenny IT and The National University of Ireland Galway. The focus of this project is to create a MOOC that will help students in transiting from 2nd to 3rd level education.
What is a MOOC? A MOOC can be described as 'A course of study made available over the Internet which is free, and is open meaning it has no participant limits, anyone who decides to take a MOOC just logs into the course and begins'.
Teachers and Students, we want you to get involved! The Learning Journey MOOC is still in development but we want you to get on-board, after all this MOOC is being developed with you in mind. Use the MOOC in the classroom or self directed and give us your feedback.
