Every Dollar You Give Will Make a Difference!

On October 7, we kick off our annual employee Combined Charities Campaign. Everyone in HISD – employees, families, and students — has always been quick to respond to people’s needs in Houston, the nation, and even around the world. This year’s campaign is no different. In the past, you have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to local, state, national, and global nonprofit organizations. Your generosity continues to make Houston ISD a great district to be a part of and Houston a wonderful place to live.

The organizations included in the Combined Charities Campaign provide essential services that help families everywhere survive economic hardship and

rebuild after natural disasters. These organizations also focus on important issues such as education, health, social justice, and the environment. Everyone can find an organization in this campaign that serves a cause close to their heart.

Giving has never been simpler. The online payroll-deduction pledge system makes it easy to contribute and ensures your privacy. If you have any questions, your Combined Charities Campaign coordinator can help you understand how the campaign works and how to navigate the online system.

Your support starting here at HISD can help these nonprofits make the world a better place in which to live. Thank you for supporting the Combined Charities Campaign to assist people in need in Houston and beyond.

Thank you for helping make Houston ISD great all over.

Terry B. Grier, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools
