INVITATION We invite you to join Making Strides as we provide the community with a place to come together to enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of our often frantic lives and spend a few hours of quality time with friends and loved ones.

All we ask our patrons is for one small gold coin, which is donated to cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre - Australia’s only public hospital dedicated to cancer research, education & clinical care..... You may not think that $1 will make a difference, however that one simple gold coin is currently translating into almost $3,000 per month and we’ve no doubt it will reach $40,000 at the 12 month mark - suddenly $1 looks pretty impressive!

We extend this invitation to you to join this mission and help us to make a difference.

VISION & PURPOSE

Raise funds for cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

To provide an avenue for artisans and small businesses to grow, where creativity and entrepreneurship can flourish.

LOCATION

Both of these monthly Events are held in the beautiful, leafy suburb of Berwick, an easy 40km from the CBD in the South East.

Berwick & surrounding suburbs of Officer, Beaconsfield, & Clyde form part of the City of Casey and is Victoria’s most populous municipality with 400,000+ residents.

Casey spreads from the base of the Dandenong Ranges to the shoreline of Western Port in the South, encompasses residential land, fishing villages, protected marine reserves, market gardens and vineyards.

The Markets BERWICK NIGHT MARKET WITH FOOD VANS The Market is held on the 3rd Friday of each month from 6pm-9pm at the Brentwood Park Neighbourhood House, 21a Bemersyde Dr Berwick.

The main hall houses 18 artisan stallholders and whilst preference is given to local artists and small business, we are extremely proud of this beautiful leafy suburb and welcome vendors from around Melbourne (and their followers) to come and spend some time in our little part of the country. A complimentary glass of bubbly as you walk in the door and there really is no better way to wander around a Market!

There are more 10-12 stalls outside, plus a lot more. The scene is set by the fairy lights that encircle the trees - here you can wander into magic right in the middle of suburbia.  The food vans are lined  up  plentiful,  with a fabulous choice and never two the same and of course, there's always the very best coffee in Melbourne.  

Brian Kampf, a solo guitarist and remarkable singer entertains us each month at the Chill Zone where you can kick back on

the ample cushions, or if you prefer, just beyond the Zone is Brixton Bar Co and a fenced seating area where you can enjoy a nice cold "adult" drink on a balmy evening.

It isn't a family night without something for the children and each month we choose a carnival activities from jumping castles, merry-go-round, laughing clowns, pluka duck, face painting etc, attempting to change whats on offer each time. Each amusement is kept to a low $5, but you don't have to spend money to have fun, dotted around the park are giant games - Jenjo, snakes & ladders, noughts & crosses - lots of alternatives for the family to play together.

In all, the Berwick Night Market is packed full of atmosphere, always changing and evolving and simply a great place to laze away a couple of hours at the end of the working week.

Food, music, f a m i l y ,

atmosphere and a HEAP of fun!

Held on the first Sunday each month during 2018, our inaugural event  on 7th January surprised even us when   over 2000+ patrons came to enjoy the day!  As with most things we put together, expect this to change and evolve as new ideas strike us. 

Berwick has a love affair with Food Trucks.  Rain, hail, or shine people tend to come out to enjoy them and so its our desire to make these few hours an occasion that will be embraced by the local community and become a fixture on most social calendars.   The hours of 10am-3pm have been chosen to suit young families before heading home and preparing for the coming week.

Vendor’s circle the perimeter of the parkland with the centre area filled with Market umbrella's providing shade from the summer heat, picnic rugs and cushions are provided but there are also tables & chairs for comfort.  

DJ Matt Brown joins us each monthly, a huge hit with all ages. Brixton Bar Co. have a remarkable set-up central to all the action. Besides all this,  there are the stunning parklands of the Cheese Factory to explore. Come along for a few hours to relax, but feel free to roam the historic Springfield Estate

whose buildings date back to the 1860's.
