Ideas from real digipaksElliotSmith-
This concept was used to show off the skate boarding effect
that we had found out related to indie genre music. We
used this style for our back cover
Jeremy Warmsley having a close up of the artist can be
beneficial in a good way, because audiences may recognise
the artist and straight away be attracted to the digipak to
find out more. Also using the face makes it more noticeable
for audiences.
Kurt Vile this digipak has excellent use of animations and
effects. Looking at the digipak we thought having this would
definitely be unique and natural with the setting so this
could be another factor we chose to take in to consideration

The main changes we made were that the outside panels were made to look
cartoonish, following the theme of Kurt Ville and we thought this defiantly looked eye
catching and effective. Another change we had made is that we flipped the photo in
the top right hand corner to see how it would look from another perspective and
found out it looked very good!

At this stage we implanted out horizontal and vertical black line strips. This was the
thing side panel on the top of the digipak were the name of the album would go along
side the name of the artist. In the end we decided to take of the horizontal line as we
believe it looked better without as it was too thin anyway to be seen.

We were nearing to the end of our digipak
and we were having second opinions about
the digipak. A couple of people from our
media class thought the front and back cover
were good if they were like on the inside or
some extra features. So we had to scrap that
idea anddecided to keep it plain and simple. We had gone back to the starting point and
only added a few extra changes.

Changes to the front
Front There were no major changes made to
our digipak apart from adding the artist name
and album name. We decided to go with the
The Kooks font as we thought it was bold
and would stand out to people when put no
the shelf at hmv, music stores. Also we looked
into using the The fretelis font for the albumname as it was simple and nothing
complicated and just set the tone right.

Changes to the back
The light located above the artist skate
boarding near the staircase has been given an
extra glow effect. This gives picture something
eye catching about it again.
We also added the barcode, the record label
logo and the rights at the bottom of the cover.
We chose the colour yellow to represent our
song names as it was simply easier to read.

Changes to the CD case
Here we thought what we coulddo is just ad some
random colour to fill up the space. Sitting down we
had an idea as we had a great print screen from our
video of the main artist skateboarding anddecidedto implant this into our digipak.
