MAKING A BIRD BOX

STEP 1: GETTING MEASUREMENTS It is important to decide what

measurement you need before beginning the bird box.

What we need? Ruler Drawing up the dimensions:

STEP 2:GATHERING THE TOOLS1.Hammer 2.Saw 3.Nails

4.SandPaper 5.Making a hole 6.Planks of Wood

STEP 3:CUTTING THE WOOD Draw the measurements onto the wood Cut 4 pieces of wood that are 12cm x 25cm

these are used for the sides. Next cut to smaller pieces 8cm x 12cm. When cutting the wood, hold it in place with a

metal clip.

STEP 4:SANDING THE WOOD To smooth out the wood it is important

to sand the wood.

STEP 5: MAKING THE BIRD HOLE Now we have to choose a side to put the

bird hole in, we must take into consideration where to position the circle.

STEP 6:PUTTING THE BOX TOGTHER To secure the box it is important to use

2-3 nails on each side.
