Always moisturize first.

moisturize.

If you have plump skin, a foundation primer can work

best. This can help fill in large pores and fine lines. A

moisturized face makes it much easier to glide on the foundation for a smooth finish.

Brighten your face with the right concealer and foundation.

Concealer can fix an uneven skin tone. It can help lighten dark under eye circles and

hide other skin imperfections. Apply the concealer under and in the corner of your eyes

as well as around the mouth and nose.

Apply small dots under the eyes and instead of looking up, slightly tip down your chin

and look straight ahead. In this angle, the dark areas are exposed so you know exactly

where to focus on. Also, use a concealer brush with tapered bristles which can blend the

concealer better than what you can achieve with your fingers alone.

When applying foundation, use either a sponge or a brush. Make sure to spread the

color using downward strokes. Blend it well. To check every area is fully covered turn

your face to each side and check under your chin as well.

A foolproof method in the application of blush involves what is called the diva look. It is

done by sucking your cheeks and following the lines of the cheekbones. To ensure the

color is even, look straight into the mirror and make the necessary adjustments.

Do the eyes.

Choose an eyebrow pencil that matches the natural color of your brows. If you have a

brow scar, it is best to use cream or tinted wax. To draw the brow, make short and light

strokes. Apply the strokes following the direction of hair growth then blend the color

and even it out.

When choosing your eye shadow color, you have to identify what looks best for your

eyes. As a general rule, opposites in colors work. For instance, blue eyed individuals will

benefit from using orange undertones such as peach, apricot and gold. For those with

green eyes, colors with red undertones like wine and deep plums look better. Brown

eyed women have the liberty of choosing any color. However, blue and purple are highly

recommended.

When applying eyeliner, start from the inner core and move to the center of the lid.

Reload then continue. This time, apply starting from the outside corner until you meet

the center.

Do the lips.

You can make your lips thinner or thicker. First, apply foundation in the lips then use a

white eyeliner pencil to contour the lip. You can follow the lip line or make it fuller or

thinner by drawing beyond or within the line. The next step is to redo it using a lip

pencil with your desired lip color. Apply the rest of the lipstick with a brush using a

downward motion.
