Dorian’s children began fighting while waiting for an appointment. They were bored.
Bring a notebook and pen
Chan’s doctor asked him the dosage of a particular medicine he was taking. Chan told him 5 ml, but he was not sure.
Bring Book or games Moses' doctor told him some important information, but he forgot what the doctor told him when he arrived home.
Bring a list of questions for your doctor
During the appointment Wilfredo’s doctor was trying to ask him some important questions, but Wilfredo could not understand.
Bring your best friend! Su jie had a very successful appointment with her doctor, but on the bus home realized there was an important question she forgot to ask.

Activity Two: listen and readKelley: Hello Casey, how was your doctor’s appointment?
Casey: It was ok, but I had to go two times!
Kelley: Two times? Why? What happened?
Casey: Well, the first time I forgot to bring my Manitoba Medical card. I
had to return home to get it. But that’s not all!
Kelley: Oh no! What else happened?
Casey: Well, because I was late coming back my appointment got
cancelled so I had wait as a walk-in. To make a long story
short, I had to wait four hours. During that time I got
hungry so I had to eat from the vending machine.
Kelley: That’s not healthy food.
Casey: You can say that again! Oh, and one more thing…. I don’t think
I explained my symptoms very well. I think I forgot to tell
her some important information about the back ache I’ve
been having.
Kelley: Well there’s nothing you can do about that appointment. But let
me tell you what you can to avoid these problems in the
future…..
