Unified communications (UC) combines multiple communication applications such as instant messaging, e-mail, audio and video conferencing and IP telephony, among others, into one interface.

•  Via a combination of smartphones, tablets and laptops, 70 percent of Americans now have mobile devices that can access the Internet

Uptake of smartphones, tablets and laptops means that 70 percent of Americans now have mobile devices that can access broadband
