Employee Thinking• Directed by managers or supervisors

• Have to fit within a hierarchy

• They are usually not in charge of how much money they make

• They are rewarded for being team players not individuals

• If they fail they are seen as not competent

Employee Thinking

• They can’t arrange their time to fit their personal needs

• They may feel that they are trapped and have no control

• Connect hours worked with the monetary value – “hours for dollars”

• They may become experts in one thing or one way of doing things

Entrepreneurial Thinking• They have a vision for where they want to go• They keep learning• They view obstacles as opportunities

• They’re open to making mistakes • They don’t let failure stop them• They think outside of the box

• They surround themselves with positive people• They are “idea people”• They take action to bring their vision into reality

Five Success Traits• Creating a Vision - What do you really want to

accomplish? What does it look like?

• Trusting Your Intuition – Learn to listen to your “inner voice”

• Being Creative – Think outside the box and be ready to take risks

• Making Decisions – Commit to a course of action and don’t wait for things to be perfect
