Why does my life have so much stress? I bet you are asking yourself some if not all of these questions and more this time of year. We put so much pressure on ourselves – or at least I do. So what can we do? I have a few suggestions. First, make lists. I have always been a list maker but when I get up to my eye balls with stuff, I forget lists help me organize. I have lists for different work jobs, things to do around the house, gifts to buy, items to cook/bake and responsibilities for different organizations I am involved in. Second, prioritize. Sometimes, I feel like I have to do it all but there is no way. Yes, some things at work have to be done in order to keep things moving as do some things at home. I need to ask myself - does it really matter? Can it wait until after the holidays? Is it a tradition we need to drop? Do we need to do it at all? Can someone else do it? It’s OK to delegate. ird, do what you truly enjoy. Yes, I love to bake at holiday time and once made 12 – 15 different kinds of cookies and candies to give to friends, coworkers and neighbors. Now, I love to bake a batch or two with my grandson and then a few other favorites the family enjoys. It’s easier on the waistline too! Finally, take time to smell the smells of the season and be thankful - turkey cooking, cranberry bread baking, a fresh pine tree in the living-room, and scented candles are a few of my favorites. In this country, we have so much compared to most other parts of the world. We often forget how thankful we are to live with all that we take for granted. So how does this tie into RNPW? As I write this a few days before anksgiving, these are my wishes for you my friends this holiday season. Do what you need to do and enjoy the season. Be kind to yourself taking time to relax with friends, family and coworkers. Be thankful for the abundance in our lives. May this be the most wonderful time of the year for you! RNPW President

Where did fall go? Are the holidays already upon us? How can I get all those projects done with all the holiday breaks?

Third, do what you truly enjoy.

As I write this a few days before Thanksgiving, these are my wishes for you my friends this holiday season. Do what you need to do and enjoy the season. Be kind to yourself taking time to relax with friends, family and coworkers. Be thankful for the abundance in our lives. May this be the most wonderful time of the year for you!
