A. On a Wing Birds of a certain feather prefer tulle to twigs, and this flight-of-fancy look is bound to fit the bill. To make it, connect steel macramé rings (Crafts Department) with strips of tulle. Knot more tulle strips—double them up for extra fluff—around each ring until the metal is no longer visible. Then tie on the bows.

B. Tweet Me Right Who’ll hang out in your fluffy pink birdcage? We’ll give you a hint: she’s cut from black felt, stitched together with bright embroidery floss, and stuffed with cushy batting. We gave her a gemstone button eye and some wispy tulle wings. Tip: You can use a needle to pull some yarn through the bird’s back for hanging.

B. Sign Me UpSandwich strips of tulle between a pair of foam board circles—you can decorate them as you please—for this look. Then glue a small foam board triangle to the back of the finished piece to serve as a stand. Glue the stand to a candle pedestal, and voilà!
