E_g.t:Jptian kings were called pharaohs.Fharaohs wore crowns that were covered witha striped blue and gold headdress. A statueo~ the snake goddess, Wadjet, was attached

to the Front of the headdress.

To wear the headdress; put theheadband over your head and slidethe chin strap under your chin.

9. Draw a long beard on goldpaper.Add a pattern using theblack pen; then cut out the shape.Fold over the top of the beard;then glue it onto the chin strap.

6. Trim off the ends of the strips.Then; glue the two sides onto thetop of the headdress. Tape theheadband from step I onto theback of the headdress, like this.

3. Forthe sides; cut a long stripof paper and fold it in half. Then,unfold the top of the headdress.Lay one corner on the folded paperand draw around it.

8. Fold the end of the snake/s tailbehind its body.Then; tape itonto the snake/s back; leaving aloop. Glue the snake onto the topof the headdress.

5. Cut about 20 thin strips ofgold paper for the stripes on theheaddress. Glue them onto thetop and across both sides; about afinger/ s width apart.

7. Draw a snake with a longbodyon gold paper.Add a hood belowthe head. Use a blackball-pointpen to draw a faceand lines on thehood. Cut out the snake.

4. Draw a line across the cornerto make a triangle. Then; drawthe side of the headdress alongthe fold. Cut out the shape andunfold it. Then; cut along the fold.

1. Forthe headband; cut a strip ofpaper that fits around your head.Tape the ends together.Then; cutanother strip to go underyour chinand tape it onto the headband.
